Matteo Galvano,
nasce a Como il 3 gennaio 1983, dove tutt’oggi vive e lavora. Si diploma a Cantù presso l’Istituto d’Arte, dove dedicò i suoi studi sulle più conosciute tecniche artistiche approfondendo l’interesse verso l’uso di uno strumento nuovo: la penna biro, creata da László József Bíró nel 1938, anno che, per una buona casualità, contiene le medesime cifre presenti nella sua stessa data di nascita.
Nel 2010 si reca a New York. Da qui la svolta decisiva della sua ricerca che considera le architetture testimoni di una delle più alte forme dell’intelligenza umana, oltre che conservatrici ognuna delle proprie storie, lasciando al di fuori di esse illimitata libertà d’immaginazione.
L’artista ha ricevuto interessanti recensioni da critici d’arte, giornalisti di quotidiani e riviste specializzate.
Oggi è persino Testimonial dell’azienda PaperMate con la quale collabora ad alcuni progetti.

was born the 3rd January 1983 in Como, where he still lives and works. He graduated at the Art Institute in Cantù, where he dedicated his studies on the best-known artistic techniques deepen the interest in the use of a new tool: the ballpoint pen created by László József Bíró in 1938.
